Besides the salaried class, the revised withholding tax rates on the buying and selling of immovable properties have been issued under the updated Withholding Tax Card 2026 for the real estate sector.

The new card stated that section 154B of the Income Tax Ordinance deals with social media platforms.

Five percent withholding tax (WHT) would be applicable on revenues received from social media platforms by (filers) digital content creators/social media influencers, whereas 10 percent from persons not appearing on the Active Taxpayers List of the FBR.
