LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry LCCI) business delegation, led by President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol, visited the Bergische Chamber of Industry and Commerce Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid (IHK Wuppertal) in Germany as part of its ongoing Europe trade mission.
According to LCCI, the delegation held a productive meeting with Arft Jasper Rust, Officer, International Division at the Bergische Chamber of Industry and Commerce Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid, who handles matters relating to foreign trade, general trade and services.
The discussions focused on exploring new avenues for Pakistan-Germany trade, strengthening business-to-business linkages, promoting Pakistani exports and identifying opportunities for investment and economic cooperation.
President LCCI Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol highlighted the importance of stronger institutional and business-level cooperation between Pakistan and Germany. He said that Germany, as one of Europe’s major industrial and economic centres, offers significant opportunities for Pakistani businesses, particularly in the areas of exports, industrial cooperation, technology, investment and joint ventures. He stressed that closer interaction between chambers of commerce and business communities of the two countries could play an important role in identifying potential areas of cooperation and creating sustainable commercial partnerships.
The LCCI President said that Pakistan has a wide range of products and services with potential in the European market and stressed the need to further facilitate market access, enhance business contacts and promote Pakistani products among international buyers.
During the meeting, Arft Jasper Rust shared his perspective on foreign trade and business opportunities and discussed the potential for increased interaction between the business communities of Pakistan and the Bergische region of Germany. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the business environment, trade relations and possible areas of mutual cooperation.
Members of the LCCI delegation also participated in the discussions and highlighted the potential of their respective sectors. They expressed keen interest in developing direct business contacts with German companies and exploring opportunities for trade, investment, technology cooperation and joint ventures.
The LCCI trade mission is aimed at expanding Pakistan’s international trade and investment linkages and creating new opportunities for the business community through direct engagement with chambers, institutions and companies across Europe.
