Govt decreases petrol price by Rs3.39, diesel's by Rs4.07 per litre

The government has reduced petrol prices by Rs3.39 and high-speed diesel by Rs4.07 per litre, effective August 5, following revisions by OGRA based on market factors.

The government decreased the price of petrol by Rs3.39 per litre while cutting the high-speed diesel (HSD) price by Rs4.07 per litre, effective from Wednesday, August 5.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) was decreased by Rs3.39 per litre, taking it from Rs331.95 to Rs328.56 per litre.
The price of HSD went down by Rs4.07 per litre, from Rs389.93 to Rs385.86 per litre.
The new prices will remain in effect until tomorrow, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.
In the previous review on Monday, the government decreased the price of petrol by Rs4.08 per litre while cutting HSD price by Rs2.45 per litre.
