Security forces kill 32 terrorists in KP, Balochistan operations: ISPR

Pakistani security forces killed 32 militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan during intelligence-based operations, part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign against foreign-sponsored terrorism.

Security forces killed 32 terrorists during intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past 24 hours as part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out in continuation of security forces’ actions against what it described as the “Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan.”
The ISPR said multiple intelligence-based area sanitisation and targeted operations were conducted overnight in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces engaged militant hideouts and killed 24 terrorists.
In separate intelligence-based operations in Nushki district of Balochistan, security forces killed eight terrorists after what the military described as an intense exchange of fire.
The military said weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) used by the terrorists were recovered and destroyed during the operations.
The ISPR said sanitisation operations were continuing in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining threats.
It added that the country’s counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” strategy, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue to eliminate what it termed foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
