LAHORE: The Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan, Paulo Domingues has reiterated the commitment to promote bilateral cooperation in various sectors including business, tourism and education with Pakistan.
He said this during a meeting with the Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan here on Friday. During the meeting, ways to enhance bilateral relations in business, agriculture, education and culture, among other sectors were discussed.
The governor said that there was a need to further promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various sectors. “Pakistan is a peaceful country with vast investment opportunities and there should be more exchanges of delegations of the business community between the two countries to promote investment,” he said.
Regarding increasing cooperation in tourism, the governor said that the northern areas of Pakistan are endowed with breath taking natural beauty. He said that Pakistan wants to enhance cooperation with Portugal in the field of tourism.
