Spot rate unchanged at Rs17, 500 per maund

LAHORE: The local cotton market on Thursday remained steady and the trading volume remained satisfactory.

Cotton analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs17,400 to Rs 17,500 per maund ,while Phutti in the province is trading between Rs 7,900 to Rs 8,300 per 40 kilograms. In Punjab, cotton rates stand between Rs17, 700 to Rs 17, 800 per maund, with Phutti fetching between Rs 8,200 to Rs 8,800 per 40 kilograms.

The rate of cotton in Balochistan is in between Rs 17, 400 to Rs 17,500 per maund while the rate of Phutti is in between Rs 8,200 to Rs 9, 000 per 40 kg.

The Spot Rate remained unchanged at Rs 17, 500 per maund.
