The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) have signed a landmark strategic agreement to build a state-of-the-art international cricket stadium in Jeddah, marking the first such collaboration between the two cricket bodies.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and SACF Chairman Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud.
Under the partnership, the PCB will oversee the development of the modern cricket stadium in Jeddah equipped with facilities that meet the standards of the International Cricket Council.
The two cricket boards will also collaborate on infrastructure development, technical expertise, stadium planning and operational standards to support the growth of cricket in Saudi Arabia.
According to the PCB, the project is expected to play a key role in enabling Saudi Arabia to host international cricket matches and major sporting events, while supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting investment in sports, sports tourism, public participation and quality of life.
Describing the agreement as a milestone for cricket in Saudi Arabia, Naqvi said the partnership would strengthen the sport and foster closer ties within the global cricket community.
