ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Foreign Office announced on Friday that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will attend the 4th Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the R-4 Group of Countries, to be held in Cairo, Egypt, on 21 June 2026.

He will participate in the R4 meeting at the invitation of Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr Badr Abdelatty.

The meeting will bring together the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan to discuss regional developments and exchange views on issues related to peace, security, and stability.

Building on the outcomes of previous R-4 meetings, the Ministers will also discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation in areas of shared interest.

The R-4 meeting will discuss in detail the issues related to the US-Iran conflict following the signing of the MoU and Israel’s continued bombardment of Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank.

During the visit, Ishaq Dar will also hold bilateral consultations with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Badr Abdelatty, and will also call on Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The discussions will focus on further deepening Pakistan-Egypt bilateral cooperation across diverse fields and exchanging views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye. The R-4 framework reflects the participating countries’ shared commitment to consultation, cooperation, and coordinated efforts in support of regional peace and prosperity.
