ISLAMABAD: A Full Court meeting of the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) undertook a comprehensive review of the Court’s institutional performance and progress achieved during its first six months of operation.
The FCC Full Court meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, and attended by all judges of the Court along with the Registrar. The meeting discussed various administrative, judicial, and operational matters ahead of the commencement of the Court’s summer vacation.
The Chief Justice appreciated the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by the officers and staff of the Court in ensuring the efficient functioning of this newly established constitutional institution. The Court expressed satisfaction over the procedural efficiency achieved during the initial phase of its operations and acknowledged the collective efforts that have contributed to strengthening public confidence in the constitutional justice system.
During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the continued modernisation of the Court’s administrative and judicial processes. The Chief Justice highlighted the importance of aligning the Federal Constitutional Court with internationally recognised best practices adopted by leading constitutional and apex courts around the world. He underscored the need for innovation, transparency, and service excellence to ensure that the Court delivers constitutional justice in the most efficient and accessible manner.
The FCC judges also discussed the integration of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhance institutional efficiency, knowledge management, legal research, case administration, and public service delivery. The Court reaffirmed its commitment to embracing technological advancements while maintaining the highest standards of judicial integrity and constitutional responsibility.
Recognising that institutional growth is intrinsically linked to human resource development, the meeting also considered measures for the continued professional training and capacity-building of officers and staff. The Chief Justice emphasised the importance of regular training programs aimed at enhancing skills, improving service delivery, and fostering a culture of excellence within the institution.
The Full Court reiterated its resolve to strengthen the Federal Constitutional Court as a modern, responsive, and progressive constitutional institution dedicated to upholding the Constitution, protecting fundamental rights, and serving the people of Pakistan with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further institutional development and continuous improvement in pursuit of judicial excellence.
