KARACHI: The trailer of Pakistan’s first literary thriller film “Vailkor” was officially launched at a ceremony held at the Karachi Press Club (KPC). The trailer was presented with English and Chinese subtitles.
A large number of prominent literary, social, government, and journalistic personalities attended the event.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Siraj-ud-Daulah, Erum Tanveer, Prof Dr. Jamal Raza, Prof. Dr. Shuaib-ul-Hassan, Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), Khalid Hassan Khan, Hizbullah Memon, and others addressed the ceremony.
The speakers said that in the present era, when people of all ages, especially the younger generation, are moving away from books, literary thriller films can play an effective role in reconnecting youth with literature and raising awareness about the importance of books. They added that promoting literary content among the new generation is highly essential.
