Pakistan condemns destruction of Gaza's health system by Israel
Pakistan condemned Israel's destruction of Gaza's health system and grave international law violations at the World Health Assembly, highlighting deliberate targeting of facilities and weaponization of starvation.

At the World Health Assembly, Pakistan has strongly condemned the destruction of Gaza’s health system and grave violations of international law by Israel.
Delivering National Statement, Pakistan’s First Secretary Adeel Khokhar said the deliberate obliteration of hospitals, medical convoys and healthcare facilities alongside the personnel constitutes grave breaches of international law.
He said beyond the direct targeting of health infrastructure, Israel’s weaponisation of starvation , the deliberate denial of clean water and the blockade of fuel, medicines and life saving supplies have brought Gaza’s health system to the point of total and irreversible collapse.
“Pakistan has will continue to stand with Palestinian people as their just struggle for their right to self-determination and for establishment of a sovereign, independent and contiguous state of Palestine based on pre-1967 border with Al-Quds as its capital,” he added.
He further reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine, called for adoption of the resolution by consensus, and underscored the need to maintain items 17.1 and 17.2 as separate agenda items at WHA.
