PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the nation, particularly the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

In his Eid message, the Chief Minister stated that Eid-ul-Azha is one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar, embodying the timeless values of faith, sacrifice, compassion, unity, and selflessness.

This blessed occasion commemorates the unparalleled devotion, obedience, and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS) in their unwavering submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

The Chief Minister said that the observance of the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) not only strengthens our spiritual bond with Allah Almighty but also reminds us of our collective responsibility towards the less privileged members of society.

He urged those blessed with resources to share the joy of Eid with the poor, the needy, and other vulnerable segments of society, emphasising that caring for others and extending a helping hand to those in need reflects the true spirit of this sacred festival.

Muhammad Sohail Afridi further observed that Eid-ul-Azha carries a universal message of unity, harmony, tolerance, solidarity, peace, and brotherhood.

He noted that fostering these values in both our individual and collective lives is essential for building a cohesive, peaceful, and prosperous society.

The Chief Minister also appealed to the public to observe the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene during and after the performance of Qurbani.

He urged citizens to cooperate fully with the relevant municipal authorities and sanitation staff in the proper disposal of animal waste and remains at designated sites.

Maintaining a clean environment, he said, is not only a civic obligation but also a reflection of the principles of cleanliness and responsibility emphasised in Islamic teachings.
