KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon, Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Investment and Public Private Partnership, and Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad visited Shahrah-e-Bhutto. On this occasion, they were briefed on the ongoing development work and progress of the project.

Meanwhile, while talking to the media, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Shahrah-e-Bhutto is being constructed under a Public Private Partnership and that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will inaugurate it on May 23. He said that the completion of this project will provide travel convenience to citizens, significantly reduce travel time, and ease traffic pressure. He further stated that the groundbreaking ceremony of the bridge project from Karachi Port to Qayyumabad will also be held on the same occasion, which will reduce travel time from hours to a few minutes. He said that the Sindh Government is fulfilling all its promises, while PPP opponents are only engaged in propaganda. He added that Sindh has introduced an effective model of Public Private Partnership, which is not only being appreciated in the country but has also been acknowledged by the Prime Minister, who has expressed interest in learning from this model. He further said that the United Nations has also recognized the Bhutto Highway project, while Karachi holds a prominent position in the field of Public Private Partnership.

In response to a question, he clarified that the federal government has not yet contacted the Sindh Government regarding any new constitutional amendment, and the public should not pay attention to rumours.

In response to another question, he said that the politics of MQM has practically ended and that the public no longer views it positively, while in the past, the politics of this party has been remembered as politics of hatred and division.

In response to another question, he described Maulana Fazlur Rehman as a senior politician and said that communication and dialogue between political parties is their constitutional and democratic right; however, any alliance formed against the PPP in elections will always face defeat.

On this occasion, Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that, according to the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, development work is continuing day and night in Sindh. He said that infrastructure is being improved and modernized throughout the province, including Karachi, and that the Bhutto Highway is a major gift for the people of Karachi. He added that this project will provide fast and convenient travel facilities to citizens and significantly reduce travel time.
