LAHORE: Ma’arka-e-Haq Games 2026 concluded with a mega event of Sher-e-Lahore Dangal here at the Punjab Stadium. Tayyab Raza Pehlwan defeated M Shuban Pehlwan in the title fight of Ma’arka-e-Haq Sher-e-Lahore Dangal in the presence of hundreds of sports lovers.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar and Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman were the guests of honour on this occasion.

Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar awarded a cheque of Rs 550,000 to winning wrestler while Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman distributed prizes among other winners.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fazlur Rehman, Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Vice Chairman Salman Malik, Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi and other officials were also present on this occasion.

It may be added that Sports Board Punjab organized different sports competitions under the title of “Ma’arka-e-Haq Games 2026” to commemorate Pakistan’s historic victory in last year’s Operation “Bunyan-um-Marsoos” against arch rivals India.

Hundreds of sports enthusiasts chanted Pakistan Zindabad and Pakistan Army Zindabad slogans during the Ma’arka-e-Haq Sher-e-Lahore Dangal fights.

While talking to media, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Pakistan’s martyrs sacrificed their lives in defence of the country and the nation can never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs and ghazis.

“Ma’arka-e-Haq Games were organised to pay tribute to the soldiers of Pakistan Army. India must remember Pakistan’s response on May 10,” he said.

He further said that Akharas are being constructed in every tehsil of the province. “The message of peace and love is being spread on the platform of sports”. He said that Sports Board Punjab is organizing ‘Ma’arka-e-Haq Games 2026’ to pay rich tribute to Pakistan army. “Definitely, it is the best way to express solidarity with Pakistan army who defeated the arch rivals in a brave manner,” he said. He further said that the 10th May 2025 is a proud day in the history of the country. “The holding of these sports events will certainly send a positive message to the global community”.

M Hira Pehlwan defeated M Usman Pehlwan, Hasan Ali Pahlwan defeated Ali Raza Pehlwan, Hasnain Ali defeated Raheel Ilyas, Nadir Pehlwan Allah Rakha and Akaash Pehlwan defeated Efraheem Pehlwan.
