LAHORE: In view of the current regional situation, the Punjab government has decided to enhance security measures at sensitive sites, places of worship, and public areas.
The Punjab Housing Minister and Co-Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order Punjab, Bilal Yaseen, chaired a meeting on Friday, with Deputy Commissioners from all districts participating via video link.
During the meeting, the overall law and order situation across all Punjab districts was reviewed, along with the details of Afghan refugee repatriation. Security arrangements and traffic management during the PSL matches were also discussed.
Addressing the gathering, Yaseen emphasised the importance of publicising the list of banned organisations across all districts before Eid al-Adha. He also instructed all departments to coordinate effectively to ensure the enforcement of SOPs issued by the Punjab Home Department.
The Minister expressed approval of the efforts by district administrations and law enforcement agencies.
