KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 167,966 Tons of Cargo Comprising 126,843 Tons of Import Cargo and 41,123 Tons of Export Cargo during last 24 hrs ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 126,843 Tons Comprised of 50,840 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 3,435 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 12,590 Tons of Rock Phosphate, 8,184 Tons of Soya Beans Seeds and 51,794 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 41,123Tons Comprised of 7,718 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 423 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 21,750 Tons of Clinkers, 4,512 Tons of Loose Bulk Cement, 970 Tons of Rice and 5,750 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
There are eight ships namely X-Press Phoenix, Oocl Dalian, Loa Peace, Zhong Gu Ri Zh, Uafl Dubai, Van Leopard, Ts Keelung, GFS Jad, and Tb Fengze are at Berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Eight ships namely Hua Chuang 66, DP World Jebel Ali, Hong Yong Chang Sheng, Kai Xuan 11, Ever Lunar, Ever Peace, Loa Peace, and Zhong Gu Ri Zhao sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ship, Hong Yong Chang Sheng, Da Zhi and SC Brilliant left the port on Tuesday morning and five more ships are expected to sail afternoon.
A cargo volume of 135,196 tonnes comprising 86,995 tonnes imports cargo and 48,201 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,538 containers (1000 TEUs imports and 2,538 TEUs exports),were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
There are 09 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them six ships, MSC York VII, Asphalt Express, Bolan, New Galaxy, Eraclea and Golden Arion scheduled to load/offload Containers, Bitumen, Mogas, Coal and Soyabean are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, FOTCO, PIBT, MW-4 and FAP respectively on Tuesday, 21st April-2026.
