Wheat, soybeans, corn drop on weak export demand

SINGAPORE: Chicago wheat slid 1percent on Monday, leading losses across grains including soybeans and corn, as concerns over weak demand weighed on prices, though higher crude oil prices limited the downside.

The most-active wheat contract on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) fell 1.3percent to USD5.90-1/2 a bushel as of 0325 GMT, soybeans eased 0.3percent to USD11.59-3/4 a bushel and corn lost 0.7percent to USD4.49-1/4 a bushel.

Sluggish export demand for US products continues to pressure prices.
