KP Excise Dept seals multiple property units for tax defaults
PESHAWAR: The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have intensified its action against property tax defaulters, sealing multiple units in Mardan and Kohat as part of an ongoing recovery drive.
According to official details, teams in Mardan carried out operations in Takht Bhai under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Muhammad Khalid, where several defaulting property units were sealed for non-payment of dues.
Excise and Taxation Officer Mardan, Muhammad Khalid, stated that during the upcoming months of April, May, and June, legal action will be taken against property tax defaulters in the district, and their properties will be sealed.
He added that this drive is expected to recover approximately Rs200 million in outstanding dues. He further noted that multiple notices have already been issued to the owners of defaulting units to clear their tax liabilities.
