FESCO to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply on Chand Raat, Eid
FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has announced the uninterrupted electricity supply will be ensured across its region during Chand Raat and the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
On the special directives of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FESCO, Engr. Muhammad Amer, special teams have been constituted to ensure continuous power supply and prompt resolution of consumer complaints during the Eid holidays.
A special monitoring cell has also been established at FESCO Headquarters to oversee electricity transmission, which will be personally supervised by Chief Executive FESCO, Engineer Muhammad Amer.
Meanwhile in six operational circles of FESCO region including First, Second, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, and Toba Tek Singh senior officers have been assigned duties to ensure the immediate resolution of load management issues, LT/HT breakdowns, customer complaints, and other related matters. These officers are included Chief Engineer (CE) Mubashar Hayat Rao for First Circle, CE (Planning & Design) Aamir Mehboob Elahi Second Circle, CE (O&M) T&G Faisal Raza Marth Jhang Circle, CE (Technical Services) Shahbaz Mahmood Sargodha Circle, CE (Customer Services) Asghar Hussain Qazalbash Mianwali Circle and CE (Development) Muhammad Waqas Baig Toba Tek Singh Circle.
Similarly, Syed Ahmad Ali Shah (PD Construction) will be present at the Distribution Control Center on the first day of Eid, Misbah-ul-Islam (Additional Chief Engineer PS&C) on the second day, and Ammar Imtiaz (Manager Planning & Forecasting) on the third day. They will monitor the performance of field offices from DCC. Chief Engineer Operations Muhammad Saeed will act as the overall coordinator, while General Manager Operations Umar Hayat Gondal will monitor all operational activities and the performance of officers.
Emergency duties have also been assigned to operational staff during the Eid holidays. Prior to Eid, Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) have been directed to keep transformer trolleys and spare equipment ready to ensure immediate replacement of faulty transformers in case of emergencies and to maintain uninterrupted power supply.
During Eid days, staff will be deployed in three shifts at sub-divisional complaint centers and grid stations to ensure quick restoration of electricity in case of feeder breakdowns.

He said that consumers can also register complaints via the FESCO Smart App, helpline 118, toll-free number 0800-66554, and SMS service 8118. Immediate action will be taken on all complaints.
Chief Executive Engineer Muhammad Amer has directed all concerned officers to remain present in their offices and available 24/7 during the holidays so that consumers can easily access them and get their issues resolved. He further warned that strict action will be taken against any staff found negligent or careless.
