LAHORE: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) “Mera Pyara” team has achieved another notable success by reuniting two missing young sisters with their parents. Due to timely response of PSCA and effective strategy of the field team, both children were safely returned to their home.
According to details, a 5-year-old girl had lost her way while carrying her 6-month-old baby sister. The two children were found unattended and were subsequently shifted to the Child Protection Center Lahore for their safety and security. The PSCA “Mera Pyara” field team strived to trace their family by engaging the elder child in conversation to gather useful information.
It is stated that during the conversation, the child could only recall a single word “Jalalpur.” Using this clue, the team began their search. Since several areas share the name Jalalpur, the team continued gathering additional information. When the name Raiwind was mentioned, the child immediately recognized it.
The “Mera Pyara” team then took the children to Jalalpur Raiwind, where the girl successfully identified her neighbourhood and guided the team to her home.
The team located the parents and, after completing all necessary legal and verification procedures, safely handed the missing children over to their family.
According to PSCA’s, “Mera Pyara” team has reunited more than 60,000 children and vulnerable individuals with their families to date. The spokesperson further added that PSCA remain fully committed to reuniting missing persons with their loved ones through the use of modern technology and coordinated field operations. Citizens are urged to report any information regarding missing individuals by calling the Emergency Helpline -15 and pressing Option 3 to inform Safe City authorities so that timely assistance can be provided to them.
