ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed his sincere gratitude for the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) unwavering support in critical government decisions, acknowledging their crucial role in backing the administration at every juncture despite mounting challenges.
During a meeting with a delegation of senior PPP parliamentarians, a key ally in the ruling coalition, the prime minister discussed the country’s political instability and regional developments.
Sources indicated that the political landscape was a central topic, with both sides evaluating shifting alliances and deliberating on the nation’s direction amid growing uncertainty.
The discussion also encompassed the increasingly complex regional tensions, underscoring the need to recalibrate foreign policy accordingly.
The PPPP delegation was led by prominent leaders such as Senator Sherry Rehman, former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, and Ijaz Jakhrani.
In addition to the PM, the meeting was attended by Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Azam Nazir Tarar, and Prime Minister’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah.
