PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formally launched a modern Livestock Management Information System (LMIS) to strengthening service delivery and improves transparency in the livestock sector of the province.

Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister described the livestock sector as the backbone of the rural economy and emphasized that the provincial government is modernizing this vital sector through the adoption of a comprehensive digital management framework.
He stated that the LMIS will streamline administrative processes, enhance efficiency, and promote transparency in livestock service delivery.
The Chief Minister noted that the system will directly benefit livestock farmers by improving access to veterinary services and strengthening institutional accountability.
He termed the initiative the beginning of a new phase of reforms in the livestock sector that will lead to measurable improvements in public service delivery. During the briefing, it was informed that a toll-free livestock helpline will be established under the LMIS to provide farmers with direct access to technical guidance and advisory services from qualified experts.
Through the Livestock Management Information System, livestock service delivery has been integrated into a centralized digital platform linking farmers, veterinary hospitals, mobile veterinary units, field staff, and research institutions through a unified digital interface.
