ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, on Monday underscored that the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates was intrinsically linked to Pakistan’s own security, as he held high-level talks in Abu Dhabi with His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the meeting focused on further strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors, with particular emphasis on economic collaboration, investment, and security cooperation.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional developments and stressed the importance of sustained coordination to promote peace and stability in the region.

During the discussions, Field Marshal Asim Munir conveyed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for the UAE’s longstanding investments and consistent support to Pakistan’s economy and security over the decades. He said this enduring support reflects the deep-rooted historical ties between the two brotherly countries and acknowledged the constructive role played by the UAE leadership in Pakistan’s economic and social development.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to the partnership, the COAS & CDF stated that Islamabad remains fully committed to expanding joint efforts with the UAE across all domains. He emphasized that enhanced cooperation would not only serve the mutual interests of both nations but also contribute to lasting regional peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
