SUKKUR: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) successfully organised the 2nd Sukkur Trade Exhibition & Seminars 2026 at IBA Public School, bringing together key stakeholders to promote Sindh’s export potential and strengthen regional and international trade connections.

The two-day event was inaugurated by Director General TDAP Abdul Karim Memon and Director General Agriculture Sindh Allah Warayo Rind along with guest of honour Khair Muhammad Shaikh special advisor to CM Sindh.

The dignitaries formally opened the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and visited various stalls, interacting with exhibitors and appreciating the quality and diversity of local products on display.

The exhibition featured around 100 stalls representing agriculture, agro-based products, value-added goods, dates, textile, handicrafts, engineering items, olive products, rice, local fashion brands, and food items.

A large number of visitors— including business representatives, students, women entrepreneurs, and members of the public— attended the event and showed keen interest in locally manufactured products.

Alongside the exhibition, TDAP organised the National Exporters Training Program (NETP) and E-Commerce 101 workshops to build the capacity of local businesses. The sessions covered export documentation, international trade regulations, marketing strategies, trade financing, and the use of the Pakistan Trade Portal. More than 200 participants from government institutions, trade support organisations, and the private sector attended these knowledge-sharing sessions.

Khair Muhammad Sheikh emphasised that the primary objective of the festival is to introduce Sindh’s local products to national and global markets and to encourage entrepreneurship amid limited public-sector employment opportunities. He highlighted the significant contribution of agricultural produce, particularly rice and dates, to the regional economy and stressed the importance of strengthening local brands to enhance exports.

The 2nd Sukkur Trade Exhibition & Seminars 2026 served as a dynamic platform for business networking, capacity building, and international collaboration, reaffirming TDAP’s commitment to promoting Pakistan’s exports and supporting sustainable economic growth.
