KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 346,356 tonnes of cargo comprising 197,879 tonnes of import cargo and 148,477 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 346,356 tonnes comprised of 93,659 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 38,389 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 4,196 tonnes of Chickpeas, 10,647 tonnes of Dap, 5,250 tonnes of Lentils, 7,200 tonnes of Rock Phosphate & 38,538 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 148,477 tonnes comprised of 91,777 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,373 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 34,969 tonnes of Clinkers, 7,608 tonnes of Loose Bulk Cargo & 12,750 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 04 ships namely, Eleni T, Cscl Neptune, MT Sargodha & Abdullah at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 02 ships namely, Ym Express & Portland sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of six ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a chemical carrier ‘Chem Barcelona’ expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 49,120 tonnes, comprising 49,120 tonnes imports cargo and 0 export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 11 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, GC Argon and Ejnan & three more ships, Al-Kyooni, Eleni-T and Zhuo Yue Yuan Yang carrying Chemicals, LNG, Coal and Container expected to take berths at EVTL, EETL, PIBT and QICT on Monday 2nd February, 2026.
