Pakistan extends airspace ban on Indian-registered aircraft till February 24
- Ban applies to all aircraft owned, operated or leased by Indian airlines, including military flights
Pakistan has extended the ban on the use of its airspace by Indian-registered aircraft, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) said on Tuesday.
According to the PAA, the restriction on Indian aircraft has been extended until 5:00am on February 24.
The ban applies to all aircraft owned, operated or leased by Indian airlines, including military flights, the authority confirmed.
The PAA said Pakistani airspace would remain closed to Indian-registered aircraft for the duration of the extension, without providing further details.

Pakistan had initially imposed the airspace restriction amid heightened tensions with India and has since issued periodic extensions.
The continued ban affects Indian carriers operating international routes, which are required to reroute flights to avoid Pakistani airspace.
