West Indies umpire Chris Taylor to officiate President’s Trophy
West Indies umpire Christopher Mark Taylor will officiate three matches of the ongoing President’s Trophy Grade-I 2025-26 under the International Cricket Council’s Umpire Exchange Programme, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday.
The 45-year-old Jamaican will make his tournament debut in the Ghani Glass versus Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) match at the National Bank Stadium, starting on Wednesday, January 21.
Taylor will also serve as a field umpire in the Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) versus SNGPL fixture at the KCCA Stadium from January 27, followed by the Sahir Associates versus Pakistan Television (PTV) match at the National Bank Stadium beginning February 2.

According to the PCB, Taylor has officiated five women’s One-Day Internationals and three women’s T20 Internationals. He has also stood in 41 first-class, 56 List-A and 53 T20 matches across domestic competitions.
His most recent assignment was the West Indies domestic 50-over tournament in November 2025.
Under the umpire exchange programme, the PCB said Taylor’s presence would not only contribute to his professional development abroad but also provide local umpires with an opportunity to benefit from his experience in the West Indies’ domestic cricket circuit.
