KARACHI: Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Monday successfully foiled a drug smuggling attempt, recovering 970 grams of narcotics from a passenger travelling to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
According to details, during the routine screening of luggage belonging to a Pakistani passenger departing for Jeddah, ASF officials detected suspicious items. Upon conducting a thorough manual search, the ASF team recovered narcotics, identified as ice (crystal methamphetamine) and heroin, which had been cleverly hidden in various compartments of the trolley bag and among items packed inside.
