ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will fully participate in the upcoming Future Minerals Forum (FMF), scheduled to be held in Riyadh later this month, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik formally informed Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, in a meeting held on Friday.

Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation, particularly in the minerals and energy sectors.

During the meeting, the Federal Minister conveyed his deep regard and respect for Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, acknowledging his visionary leadership. He highlighted that Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations are deeply rooted in shared religious, cultural, and strong people-to-people ties. He noted that with each passing year, this historic relationship continues to expand and strengthen across multiple sectors.

Upon an invitation from the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Federal Minister informed the Ambassador that Pakistan will fully participate in the upcoming Future Minerals Forum (FMF), scheduled to be held in Riyadh later this month. He shared that Pakistan will establish a dedicated pavilion titled “Pakistan – The Mineral Marvel,” aimed at showcasing the vast potential and promise of Pakistan’s rich geological landscape to the global mineral community.

The Pakistani delegation, led by the Federal Minister, along with thirteen Pakistani state-owned and private sector mineral companies, will participate in the forum. A 90-minute Country Showcase Session at FMF will feature the Federal Minister, CEOs of state-owned and private sector companies, representatives of foreign investors, and international subject-matter experts. The session will focus on “Unleashing Potential: Accelerating Pakistan’s Mineral Revolution.”

He further said that it will be an honour to welcome global mining stakeholders at the Pakistan Pavilion. The Pavilion will also serve as a prelude to the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum (PMIF) 2026, scheduled to be held in April in Islamabad, Pakistan, and will help attract international participation for the upcoming forum.

Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy warmly welcomed and appreciated Pakistan’s participation in the Riyadh Future Minerals Forum. He reaffirmed that Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have always stood by each other, reflecting the strength of their longstanding brotherly relations. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan possess significant potential for cooperation in the minerals and energy sectors and expressed confidence that the Future Minerals Forum would serve as an effective platform to explore and expand avenues of collaboration between the two countries.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation for mutual economic growth and development.
