ISLAMABAD: The digitisation of land records in the federal capital has reached an advanced stage, with records of the majority of mouzas already scanned, digitized and notified, officials said during a review meeting held at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa and attended by senior CDA and ICT officials, including members of the authority and Director General Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA).
Officials informed the meeting that scanning and data entry of land records for 95 out of 114 mouzas in Islamabad have been completed, while 24 mouzas have already been fully digitized and notified, enabling the issuance of regular computerized fards. It was further shared that 11 additional mouzas will be digitized and notified within the next two weeks, after which computerized land transactions will begin in those areas.
The forum was also briefed on the progress of digitizing CDA’s internal records. Scanning of records of several CDA formations, including Estate Management and revenue departments, has largely been completed, with plans to fully digitize one entire CDA sector as a model project in the near future.
The CDA Chairman said the digitization initiative would enhance transparency, safeguard citizens’ investments, and significantly improve land-related services.
