KARACHI: President Karachi Chamber Rehan Hanif has expresses deep sorrow and grief over the demise of former Governor State Bank Dr Shamshad Akhtar.
The demise of Dr Shamshad Akhtar is a great loss to the economic and financial circles of Pakistan, he said.
Dr Shamshad Akhtar was a prominent economist and a symbol of principled leadership, Rehan Hanif.
The services of Dr Shamshad Akhtar, the first female Governor of State Bank of Pakistan, will always be remembered, said Rehan Hanif.
KCCI President Rehan Hanif extends heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr Shamshad Akhtar.
“Dr Shamshad Akhtar played a key role in strengthening the country’s economy and financial institutions,” said President KCCI. The nation has lost a talented, honest and visionary economist, he added.
