KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 163,022 tonnes of cargo comprising 120,725 tonnes of import cargo and 42,297 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 120,725 tonnes comprised of 55,459 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 10,048 tonnes of B. Bulk Cargo, 3,470 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate, 1,709 tonnes of Chickpeas & 50,039 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 42,297 tonnes comprised of 26,694 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 6,056 tonnes of Cement, 6,347 tonnes of Talc Powder & 3,200 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 06 ships namely, Cosco New York, Portland Iii, Cma Cgm Hydra, Hoang Anh 08, P Aliki, & Konrad berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Hafnia Jaguar, Gfs Diselle, & Cspc Leo sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of thirteen ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Chemroute Pegasus, MSC Shanelle, Salt Wind Explorer, and African Pheasant left the port on Tuesday morning, while two more ships, Container vessel Eleni T and Chemicals carrier AN-61 are expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 196,914 tonnes comprising 156,111 tonnes imports cargo and 40,803tonnes export cargo was handled at the Port, during the last 24 hours.
There are 14 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them four ships, GFS Giselle, Eva Tokyo, Eva Trust, and Mutriba carrying Containers, Chemicals, Palm oil and Diesel oil are expected to take berths at QICT, EVTL, LCT and FOTCO respectively on Tuesday, 23rd December-2025.
