COAS speaks of key features of modern warfare
- Says modern conflicts demand agility, precision, situational awareness, and swift decision-making
ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Force (CDF), visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons to review operational preparedness and training standards of the formations.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR on Saturday, the Field Marshal was briefed on the formations’ operational readiness and key initiatives aimed at enhancing combat preparedness.
He witnessed a field training exercise and inspected an advanced simulator training facility, appreciating the troops’ high professional standards and overall state of readiness.

Emphasizing the evolving character of warfare, Field Marshal Asim Munir underscored the importance of technological adaptability, noting that modern conflicts demand agility, precision, situational awareness, and swift decision-making.
During interactions with officers and soldiers, the COAS and CDF commended their high morale and unwavering commitment to national security. He reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains fully focused on addressing both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements aimed at undermining national stability.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Gujranwala, the Field Marshal was received by the Corps Commander Gujranwala.
