LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that passengers with incomplete and bogus documents will not be allowed to travel abroad in any case.
He said this during his visit to Allama Iqbal International Airport, here on Tuesday. “No passenger defaming the name of Pakistan can be allowed to travel,” Naqvi said.
During the visit, Naqvi observed passengers’ immigration process. Passengers expressed satisfaction regarding their immigration process. Naqvi interacted with passengers departing for and arriving from foreign destinations, inquiring about the time taken and the overall experience of the immigration process. Passengers expressed satisfaction, noting that the entire procedure was completed in just two minutes. They said that immigration process has been considerably improved after Interior minister’s visits to airports.
Mohsin Naqvi reviewed passenger facilitation and the efficiency of immigration procedure.
He inspected the immigration counters and observed the system linking passengers’ travel history with their identity cards and passports. He commended the FIA Director and his team for implementing a faster, streamlined system.
Mohsin Naqvi made it clear that those carrying incomplete or forged documents will not be allowed to leave the country under any circumstances. “Pakistan’s dignity is our collective dignity. Anyone whose actions may bring disrepute to the country cannot be permitted to travel,” he stated.
