ISLAMABAD: Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev arrived in Islamabad on Thursday to participate in the 10th Russia-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission.
The Minister attended a concert featuring folk artists from Russia and Pakistan at the PNCA, said a Foreign Office statement.
Pakistan, Russia discuss energy, trade cooperation
On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sergei Tsivilev conveyed warm greetings to the Pakistani people, expressing deep respect for the friendship between our countries and hope that these relations will grow stronger each year. He emphasized the importance of cultural rapprochement between Russia and Pakistan.
The event was also attended by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who helped rescue those affected by the devastating 2005 earthquake.
