ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will undertake an official visit to Bahrain on November 26-27, 2025, to reinforce the longstanding and multifaceted relationship between the two nations, the Foreign Office (FO) said on Tuesday.

The prime minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, and senior officials.

During the visit, the leadership of both countries will engage in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors such as trade, investment, energy, technology, education, and culture. In a separate statement, the FO said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan held discussions on potential investments across several key sectors, including oil and gas, minerals and mining, livestock, and hospitality. Both sides expressed interest in exploring further avenues of cooperation.

The talks took place with Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, and Foreign Minister Dar, who was accompanied by senior officials from relevant ministries.

This collaboration aligns with the bilateral agreements reached during a meeting between the two countries’ leaderships in Baku on November 8, 2025.

Additionally, the FO issued a statement regarding a meeting between Foreign Minister Dar and the outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. Dar commended General Mirza for his professionalism and unwavering dedication to Pakistan’s defence and security.

In honour of General Mirza’s service, Dar hosted a luncheon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to recognize his distinguished contributions to the nation.
