‘By-polls results reflect public’s confidence in Maryam’s performance’
LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has said that the resounding success of PML-N candidates in the Punjab by-elections has once again reaffirmed the people’s deep trust in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
Azma Bokhari stated that the clear and overwhelming lead taken by PML-N candidates across all constituencies reflects the public’s complete satisfaction with Maryam Nawaz’s performance and vision.
Elaborating further, she said the victory is a direct outcome of government initiatives such as free medicines, doorstep delivery of insulin, improvement of health clinics and field hospitals, upgrades in Basic Health Units, free tractors, free super seeders, solarization of tube wells, and the Kissan Card program.
The minister added that people have expressed support for groundbreaking initiatives including the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Hospital, scholarship programs, electric bikes and buses, the “Suthra Punjab” initiative, and the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” housing program under which 120,000 homes are being provided.
She said the vote is a reflection of the positive impact of Maryam Nawaz’s 1.5 years of performance, demonstrating the people’s clear preference. PML-N candidates secured massive victory margins ranging from 20,000 to 120,000 votes.
Azma Bokhari also praised Babar Nawaz’s victory in Haripur, stating that this win has completely shattered the plans of those propagating the narrative of fake change.
She added that those who used to chant allegations of rigging have been left with nothing but the word “rigging” itself.
