KARACHI: A ceremony was held at the Karachi Press Club to launch the book “Han Koi Hay,” authored by celebrated poet Kamran Mughal. The event, presided over by esteemed scholar and poet Dr Professor Saher Ansari and attended by senior bureaucrat Asghar Khan and poet Rehana Roohi as chief guests.

Speakers praised Kamran Mughal’s literary contributions as a breath of fresh air in the literary world. They highlighted his unique approach to prose and his ability to address pressing issues with sensitivity. Dr Saher Ansari commended Mughal’s work, noting that his writing stands out amidst the current climate of violence and negativity. He emphasized that Mughal’s social awareness and humanitarianism bring a much-needed perspective to the literary landscape.

“Urdu prose and poetry has gone through and is still going through stages of acceptance and rejection, but now its creative process is spreading among the new generation,” he said.

“Kamran Mughal has presented events and circumstances around him using his dexterous approach in prose. This happened at a time when the course of writers and authors highly influenced by violence and grotesque crimes,” the professor said.

He added, “Kamran Mughal’s social and societal awareness and humanitarianism is like a breath of fresh air.”

Those who spoke on the occasion were Kahlid Moen, Dr Umair Ahmed Khan, Ghazala Khalid, Angela Hamesh, and Owais Adeeb Ansari.
