Islamabad Judicial Complex attack case: More revelations made by suspects
ISLAMABAD: Some important revelations have been made by the persons taken into custody in connection with the Islamabad Judicial Complex blast.
Quoting the interrogators, sources said that a few days before attacking the Judicial Complex, the suicide bomber tried to detonate himself at a police checkpoint at Faizabad.
But he could not pull the pin out of the suicide jacket. After having failed to explode, the bomber went back to Rawalpindi, came back a few days later and detonated himself at the Judicial Complex.
A suicide attack outside a court in Islamabad on November 11 had left 12 people dead and injured at least 27 others.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said a bomber was planning to attack the district courthouse but was unable to get inside.
Naqvi said authorities would prioritize identifying the bomber, and that those involved would be brought to justice.
