Dar orders preparations for EU GSP Plus monitoring mission arrival

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has instructed all ministries and other stakeholders to finalize preparations for the upcoming EU GSP+ Monitoring Mission to Pakistan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on Friday chaired a high-level inter-ministerial meeting to review various aspects of Pakistan’s trade enhancement strategy and economic diplomacy.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, Secretaries of Commerce and Human Rights, along with senior officials from relevant ministries.

Dar emphasized that GSP+ remains a win-win framework for both Pakistan and the EU, and reiterated that strengthening Pakistan’s trade and economic diplomacy is a key priority of the country’s foreign policy.
