ISLAMABAD: The Forum of Information Group Secretaries, during its monthly meeting held on Tuesday at the Islamabad Club, offered Fateha and expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Senator Irfan Siddiqui, an eminent educationist, seasoned parliamentarian, and distinguished media personality.
The Forum, comprising retired Secretaries of the Information Group, paid glowing tributes to Senator Siddiqui for his remarkable services to the nation. Members acknowledged his invaluable contributions to journalism and national affairs. They noted that Senator Siddiqui’s insightful perspectives and scholarly work enriched Pakistan’s intellectual and political discourse.
Recalling his past engagement with the Forum as a guest, members shared that Senator Siddiqui had encouraged the Forum to function as a think tank, contributing its collective wisdom to national policy-making and public debate. His ideas and guidance, they added, remain a source of inspiration for the Forum.
The members concluded the meeting with a collective offering of Fateha, praying for the elevation of the departed soul and extending heartfelt condolences to Senator Siddiqui’s family.
