PESHAWAR: A delegation of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), led by the party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan, visited Bacha Khan Markaz held a meeting with Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Provincial President of the Awami National Party (ANP).
During the meeting, the PTI delegation formally invited the ANP to participate in the provincial government’s proposed Peace Jirga, aimed at addressing the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PTI delegation included Sher Ali Arbab, Shafi Jan, Kamran Bangash, Irfan Saleem, Arbab Asim, and other senior members.
On behalf of the ANP, Provincial General Secretary Hussain Shah Yousafzai, Provincial Spokesperson Arslan Khan Nazim, Joint Secretary Hameed Tofan, and Provincial Salar Shakir Shinwari were also present. According to the PTI leaders, the KP Peace Jirga will be held on November 12 at 11:00 am in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Hall.
The event will bring together leaders and general secretaries of all political parties, former chief ministers, civil society representatives, and senior members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Association to deliberate on measures for restoring peace and stability in the province.
