KARACHI: Professor Dr Syed Inayat Ali Shah has officially assumed charge as the Permanent Registrar of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST).

On this occasion, delegations from various associations met with him, presented bouquets, and conveyed their best wishes.

Representatives of the Teachers’ Association, Officers’ Welfare Association, and Non-Teaching Employees’ Association congratulated Dr. Syed Inayat Ali Shah on his appointment, expressing hope that his leadership would promote administrative stability and transparency within the university.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shah said that the Federal Urdu University is a national institution, and its progress requires the collective efforts of all teachers, officers, and staff members to fulfill the dream of Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq.

He emphasized that he would focus on transparency, diligence, and mutual cooperation to improve the university and restore its academic and research reputation.

It is noteworthy that Dr Syed Inayat Ali Shah is regarded among the prominent scholars of the country. He earned his M.Sc. and M.Phil degrees in Mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 1987 and 1990, respectively, and obtained his Ph.D. from Saga University, Japan in 2002.

Since 2010, he has been associated with the Department of Mathematics at Islamia College, Peshawar, where he served as a Meritorious Professor.

Dr Shah expressed his hope that all segments of the university community would work together in harmony to contribute to the institution’s growth and development.
