KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 192,837 tonnes of cargo comprising 148,860 tonnes of import cargo and 43,977 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 148,860 tonnes comprised of 76,332 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 10,174 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 1,214 tonnes of DAP, 372 tonnes of Sugar & 60,768 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 43,977 tonnes comprised of 39,786 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 429 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 2,097 tonnes of Cement & 1,665 Tons of Rice.
Approximately, 07 ships namely, OOCL Nagoya, Beijing Bridge, X-Press Cassiopeia, X-Press Pyxis, CMA CGM Zanzibar, Sky LBS and KSL Hengyang berthed at the Karachi Port Trust. As many as, 07 ships namely, Ital Universo, Star Gate, Kiran Marmara, Kota Sahabat, Hong Yong Chang Sheng and Swan Lake sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a container ship ‘APL Florida’ laft the port on Thursday morning, while six more ships, Spirit of Bertram, Hansa Africa, Woohyun Dream, Fairchem Pathfinder, Fortune Aqua and Daphne are expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 249,346 tonnes, comprising 188,924 tonnes imports cargo and60,422 export cargo carried in 6,837 Containers (3,705 TEUs Imports & 3,132 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 14 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them six ships, Daphne, Sedra, Lady Anastasia, Bow Panther, Yasa Venus and Astrid Schulte are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, FAP, EVTL, PIBT and PQEPT on Thursday 6th November, 2025.
