KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is set to organise a series of regular cultural and Sufi events to reclaim the megacity of Quaid’s renowned identity as the “City of Lights, Knowledge, and Literature”.
These gatherings will be held at famous historical landmarks such as Frere Hall, Denso Hall, and Khaliq Dina Hall.
To mark the beginning of this cultural renaissance, the KMC is organising a special event on the occasion of the 770th death anniversary of Hazrat Amir Khusrau. Renowned as the “Tuti-e-Hind” and the founder of Qawwali, Khusrau’s legacy of love, tolerance, and harmony is considered a reflection of Karachi’s own diverse cultural fabric.
