Pakistan International Maritime & Expo Conference 2025: Message from Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan

It gives me immense pleasure that Pakistan will be organizing the second edition of "Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference 2025." This will indeed be a landmark occasion that will showcase Pakistan's growing maritime potential. The event will highlight our maritime industry's contribution towards the Blue Economy in diverse fields including ports and shipping with a focus on marine related commercial enterprises. This initiative underscores our commitment to diversifying Pakistan's economy and harnessing the vast opportunities in the maritime sector.

The PIMEC would provide an interactive platform to demonstrate maritime products, hence opening new avenues for contracting, outsourcing, joint ventures and signing of MoUs for technical collaboration with national and international partners. I hope that this would be a mutually beneficial event and shall help to coalesce the international community in pursuit of our shared prosperity.

The role of port cities, such as Karachi and Gwadar, is pivotal to Pakistan's economic progress. Not only the development of ports will have a major role to play in future, but would also be central to fruition of the upcoming projects and developments in the maritime industry. The Government of Pakistan fully supports the Ministry of Maritime Affairs' determination to innovate and introduce modern techniques for port handling and shipping as done internationally, and adopt contemporary practices in Pakistan.

I convey my deep appreciation to all the stakeholders, especially the Pakistan Navy for this great initiative under the auspices of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. I have high hopes that their synergetic approach will help channelize efforts in showcasing Pakistan's maritime potential in a fruitful and result-oriented manner.

I invite global partners. industry leaders, and innovators to join us in exploring the future of maritime trade and cooperation. Together, let us unlock the full potential of Pakistan's maritime industry and build a prosperous future for all of us.
