Empowered Women Prosperous Pakistan: Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori Governor Sindh

TEXT: 22nd December is National Working Women's Day that in fact, marks the struggle of working women in every sphere of human activity leading towards development of healthy society and nation. This day is celebrated to recognize the role and contribution of female fraternity in nation building.

Celebration of this auspicious day is not just a tradition but a token of appreciation to pay tribute to their contribution in national progress and prosperity. The Institution of Provincial Ombudsman "The Protection against harassment of Women at the Workplace" is committed to ensure safe working environment to women at their workplace. It stands as a firm pillar safeguarding women from all forms of exploitation and abuse.

This special day is a call out for everyone to stand up and show solidarity to women and shun gender discrimination, sexual harassment, abuse, oppression and exploitation against them. We must strive to remove all the barriers that confront women to walk shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts and promote a society of social justice, gender equality and collective development.
