KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced an increase in the regulatory retail portfolio limit for banks on Tuesday.
Effective immediately, the limit has been raised from PKR 180 million to PKR 300 million, as specified under the Basel Framework.
This adjustment follows a previous increase during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the limit was raised from PKR 125 million to PKR 180 million to address economic challenges.
