ISLAMABAD: Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Tuesday met the Islamabad Development Working Party.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Planning Commission, Pakistan EPA, PWD, Islamabad Police, Local Government, Rural Development, and other departments’ officers.
According to the details, 24 development projects were presented in the meeting.
Among them, 17 projects of local government, four projects of Islamabad Police, two projects of the Agriculture Department, and one project of the Libraries Department.
Randhawa directed that all the projects should be transferred on GIS.
He also directed that in the areas where development projects are required, committees should be formed consisting of the people of the area.
Apart from this, on the project of the library department, the chief commissioner directed that the newly constructed library should be built according to international standards and e-library should also be made a part of the project.
He further said that all the projects should be evaluated from the environmental point of view and the component of planting trees up to two per cent should be included in all the projects.
