ISLAMABAD: “Jazz is actively promoting diversity and empowering women through its products, services, employee programmes, and sustainability initiatives.”

These views were shared by Kamila Khan, Chief Legal Officer at Jazz during a panel discussion at the Women in Business Conference organised by the Pakistan Society for Training and Development. Other panelists included Mujeeb Zahur, MD, S&P Global; Shakeel Ahmad, Sales Director, Nestle; Zeeshan Baig, Country GM, Syngeta Pakistan.

“Leveraging technology, we address broader gender inequalities by providing tailored products and services, digitally enabling access to health, financial, and other life-enhancing services for citizens across Pakistan. This forms the essence of Jazz's inclusivity strategy, also solidifying its reputation as a top employer, especially in tech, data, digital, and other emerging functions,” Kamila Khan added.

Kamila underscored the significance of purpose-driven initiatives and the role of male champions in supporting women's empowerment efforts aimed at accelerating Pakistan’s socio economization development.

“At Jazz, we prioritize diversity and ensure that all voices are heard," Khan explained. She highlighted Jazz's efforts in promoting diversity through robust policies and measures.

Kamila Khan also mentioned that Jazz has established a comprehensive female leadership program aimed at developing female leaders not only within the organization but also across the wider corporate sector.

In response to a question, Kamila Khan informed that around 30 percent of JazzCash’s customers are female, and efforts are being made to increase it to 50 per cent in the next few years. “The platform actively collaborates with women-led enterprises, bringing women micro-enterprises into the merchant network, offering mentorship programs, and providing resources to help them thrive in a predominantly male-centric business world," she added.
